Bella Hadid and The Weeknd have been spending a lot of time together recently. Shortly after taking a trip to Tokyo together with a group of friends, Abella (as their fans affectionately call them) have been pictured enjoying each other’s company at Hadid’s childhood home, months after rekindling their romance. The part-Palestinian’s mother, Yolanda Hadid Foster, took to her Instagram Stories to show off images of the model and R’n’b singer getting up close and personal with the animals on the Pennsylvania estate’s farm. The Canadian crooner, born Abel Tesfaye, also uploaded photos and videos to his personal Instagram account of himself posing alongside horses and ponies, and mimicking one of the goats in the former Dutch supermodel’s property.
Hadid and Tesfaye first split back in 2016 after an 18-month romance due to “conflicting schedules”. She told Teen Vogue about the breakup that “as an outsider, you might think I handled it so well, but it’s always in your heart, and you always feel it very heavily. It’ll be hard for a while. Love hurts, but you have to pull through.” The musician went on to date Selena Gomez, before the couple split in 2017 after almost one year together. Shortly after Tesfaye ended things with Gomez, he was allegedly spotted with Hadid at Coachella in April and during the Cannes Film Festival in May, sparking reconciliation rumors, though Hadid would go on to deny that she was the mystery girl from Coachella. The are-they-or-aren’t-they couple were also photographed enjoying each other’s company in Paris as recently as June.

Tesfaye isn’t the only one bonding with the parents (and animals). The trip to the Pennsylvania farm comes shortly after Foster posted images of the 21-year-old’s older sister Gigi’s on-again flame, Zayn Malik cozying up with her Sphynx cat on her InstaStories. Neither sister has commented on their relationship status with their on-again-off-again beaus, but they certainly aren’t waiting for mama’s permission to make things official again. Foster’s InstaStories basically serve as a 21st century seal of approval.
