In an effort to escape the bursting centigrade, we’re increasingly searching for cooler “exotic” climes. Enter the perennial favorite, the green city of Copenhagen. The Danish capital is a top travel destination for those keen to explore an urban landscape on two wheels. Vogue Arabia caught up with Stine Goya, who celebrates 10 years of her eponymous brand (notably, Denmark’s fashion Brand of the Year) with her Spring 2018 fashion show today, to help you operate the city like an insider and just in time for Copenhagen Fashion Week, which runs until Friday.

The designer label, who Liv Tyler chose for her birthday dress this year, and who is now stocked on, is known for its playful and beautifully tailored feminine boho-chic designs. Goya’s collections (four a year), often feature whimsical artist collaborations that result in a delightful marriage of color and print.

“Colors are fascinating and tell so many stories – from grandiose or dramatic tales to intimate poetry,” shares Goya. Her Fall 2017 collection offers ribbon prints, warm knit sweaters, A-line dresses, outerwear in plush textures and copper tones, and loose shirt trouser suits that beckon to be mixed and matched.

Read on for the Stine Goya Copenhagen guide and don’t be afraid to get lost in this friendly city where sometimes, Goya says, “everything just seems to happen.”

“I love flowers. I have two favorite florists, one is Poppykalas because the owners are very good at understanding my aesthetic, and choosing colors and variations of unique flowers. The other is Julie Moestrup at Louise Blomster, which I love because she is very creative and makes arrangements that make me dream.”

“During summer, I enjoy the cafe and restaurant called La Banchina. It is a very simple place, just next to the water, and offers some docks where you can eat and even take a jump and swim.”

“I have many, but my go-to restaurant at the moment is Mangia. The food is Italian,  simple, and great and the atmosphere is relaxed and good fun.”

The Apartment. I love the selection of colorful furniture and art pieces. It is a very inspiring store with a lot of personality from the owners. They have very good taste!”

“My favorite jewelery is the brand Griegst – there is no brick and mortar store, but rather a website. The jewelry is just so beautiful, artistic, and unlike anything else.”

“For small kids, I think that Soft Gallery does very well. There are many shop-in-shops throughout Denmark  (Magasin, Illum) and you can also purchase from their webshop as well.”

“I don’t use that many beauty products, but I sometimes use a skin treatment to keep if fresh. Danish brand Beauté Pacifique makes amazing products – the Serum Paradoxe and the Vitamin A cream are my favorites.”
