Inside Soraya Bakhtiar’s Summer Vacation Diary

It girl and street style heroine Soraya Bakhtiar shares her Mykonos travel diary, go-to places, packing habits, and vacation playlist with Vogue.me. See how the front row star spent her off-duty hours on one of the most striking Greek islands for some much-needed downtime. After all, fashion month is just around the corner…

On Her Mykonos Capsule Wardrobe

“For my trip, I didn’t pack any heels because I know that there’s a lot of walking around in Mykonos and most places are very understated. I lived in my Hermès H flats and a pair of gold lace-up sandals. I did pack a few of my favorite Reformation dresses that I wore from day to night, a Free People jumpsuit, an Athena Procopiou kimono that I wore over my swimsuit, and a floral dress from For Love & Lemons. I decided not to over-pack!”

On Accessories

“I brought a few embroidered clutches and a basket bag from Etsy. Jewelry wise, I brought my pom pom earrings from All Things Mochi and gold hoops from Missoma. I took five pairs of sunglasses: ChloéCéline, Spektre, Le Specs, and Ray-Bans. My bikinis varied from Kiini to Nomad Swim, Fella, Mara Hoffman, and Tori Praver.”

Inside Soraya’s Beauty Bag

“When I travel, I don’t like to wear too much makeup but I always pack lipliner from Huda Beauty, heart-shaped bronzer from Too Faced, blush from Hourglass, BB cream with SPF from Erborian, mascara from Dior, and concealer from Benefit. I use Aveda sun protective spray on my hair, and an anti-humidity styling gel/oil from Bumble and bumble on my hair. I couldn’t live without Philip Kingsley Swimcap Cream (which also kept the frizz away during the day) and Esthederm sunscreen. At night, I wore Bal D’Afrique from Byredo.”

On Soraya’s Playlist

“In my EarPods, I was playing this playlist continuously: La Belle Mixtape, The Good Life, Gamper & Dadoni.

On Her Reading List

“I brought David & Goliath by Malcolm Gladwell and Le voile de Téhéran by Parinoush Saniee.”
