While it may not snow in urban UAE, places like Ski Dubai have come close to replicating the phenomenon. Now, taking it a step further, Dubai’s renowned Vox Cinemas has joined forces with the indoor ski resort to bring its state-of-the-art movie-watching experience to snow-laden ski slopes.
Even though cinema seats have come a long way from being rigid and uncomfortable, few can beat the Snow Cinema’s lounge-style seating paired with a blanket that makes watching a movie on the big screen, surrounded by snow, that much more special. With comfort paramount at the Middle East’s first cinema in the snow, all guests will receive rental clothing and accessories which includes: Fleece gloves, socks, boots, beanie hat, blanket, wireless headphones, as well as a dedicated locker for your belongings.

The immersive experience is made better with cinema snack essentials such as the much-loved Vox Cinemas popcorn, but also a signature hot chocolate from Mirzam Chocolate Makers which can be delivered to moviegoers’ seats. The Snow Cinema’s extensive menu also features savory options such as baby potatoes with Raclette, hotdogs and burgers; decadent desserts such as festive mince pies and gingerbread Dutch pancakes; and hot beverages including an exclusive Mirzam peppermint hot chocolate.
With five screenings a day, the schedule of movies at the Snow Cinema changes weekly, however, guests can expect family-friendly movies such as Bigfoot 2, The Croods: A New Age and Benjamin The Elephant as well as popular recent releases such as Wonder Woman 1984, Monster Hunter, Jumanji: The Next Level, The Witches, and Honest Thief.
Tickets to a movie at the Snow Cinema can be purchased via voxcinemas.com, with prices starting at AED 100 per person. This includes a cinema ticket and a signature hot chocolate, popcorn and a bottle of water. If you are looking to share the experience with your close friends and family, the Snow Cinema by Vox Cinemas also offers the VIP Chalet which can accommate up to four people for AED 800, and includes a cinema ticket for each guest, a two-course meal from North 28 Restaurant, a hand warmer, premium gloves, as well as a signature hot chocolate, popcorn and a bottle of water.
