UAE Rulers Came Together to Celebrate the Wedding Reception of HH Sheikh Mohammed’s Daughter

One week after the traditional Emirati ceremony, the UAE royal family hosted a grand reception to celebrate the wedding of Sheikha Maryam Bint Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Sheikh Khaled Bin Mohammad Bin Hamdan Al Nahyan.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai,  welcomed the ruler of the Emirates, and other leaders, at the Dubai World Trade Centre on September 28.

To mark Sheikh Mohammed’s daughter’s marriage to the member of the Abu Dhabi royal family, a dancing troupe performed the Ayala while Emirati music played.

The event was attended by HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Minister of Finance, HH Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, HH Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler and Crown Prince of Sharjah, HH Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, HH Sheikh Rashid bin Saud Al Mualla, Crown Prince of Um Al Quwain, and HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince of Ras Al Khaimah.

The engagement of the couple was first announced on social media in August 2018. Sheikha Maryam and Sheikh Khalid signed their marriage contract a week before the men’s reception at Dubai World Trade Centre. Sheikh Khalid, the member of the Abu Dhabi royal family, graduated from British Royal Academy Sandhurst with a prestigious award for excellent innovation during the training course.
