Sheikha Maryam bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the daughter of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, celebrated her 26th birthday over the weekend. The young royal, who tied the knot with Sheikh Suhail bin Ahmed bin Juma Al Maktoum in January, took to Instagram to share her birthday gift from her aunt Sheikha Fatima, who gave her two horses bearing signs around their neck. The sign on the first horse read: “Happy birthday Sheikha Maryam”, while the other said “We wish you all the best.” Extremely fitting, considering Maryam is a keen equestrian (much like her father and older brother). Best birthday present ever? We think so. “Thank you so much @alk7aileh_almaktoum 😘 I love you ❤️💞❤️💞❤️,” the excited birthday girl captioned the image.
Meanwhile, HH Sheikha Latifa, who recently welcomed a baby boy, took to her Instagram page to post a heartfelt tribute to her younger sister. The royal shared an adorable baby picture of Sheikha Maryam, and wrote “Happy birthday @maryam_mrm love you 💖 10/8/18,” in reference to the day she was born. Sheikha Futaim also shared a loving message to her sister, accompanied by a throwback photograph of a young Maryam smiling at the camera.
