HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai praised the UAE’s “heroic” response efforts to the coronavirus pandemic when he recently toured the Covid-19 Command and Control Centre in Dubai. As the country continues its return to a sense of normalcy mirroring pre-coronavirus times, Sheikh Mohammed said the UAE has “succeeded in countering the Covid-19 outbreak and set a commendable example for the world in managing the pandemic” in a statement from the Dubai Media Office.

Highlighting the healthcare and medical professionals who have been tirelessly working alongside the government and on the frontlines of the emirate’s dedicated Covid-19 center to contain the spread of the disease, the Ruler of Dubai credited these inspiring “soldiers” for their “meticulous planning and collaborative spirit” in helping the UAE turn the tide in this ongoing battle. “The heroic efforts of healthcare workers during the Covid-19 crisis are a source of pride and inspiration for all of us,” shared Sheikh Mohammed in the release. “We thank them for their commitment and professionalism and urge them to continue working with the same spirit of dedication until we completely overcome these challenges.”
