As the UAE continues to gradually emerge out of a gruelling two-month lockdown, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council has taken to Instagram and Twitter to once again express his appreciation for the dedication and commitment of frontline workers in their fight against Covid-19.
Developed by Brand Dubai; the creative arm of the Government of Dubai’s Media Office, and in partnership with Done Events, AO Drones and myriad government entities, the video encapsulates a message of thanks by capturing different displays in differing formats. Beginning with a quote by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai that reads “there is no ‘impossible’ where there is faith and determination,” the video starts with a panoramic view of Dubai before transitioning into stills of the Burj Khalifa, the Burj Al Arab, Sheikh Zayed Road and Downtown Dubai.

Accompanied by a poignant and inspirational soundtrack, the video features a mix of messages that render gratitude as well as awareness. Using over 120 drones and 100 vehicles, powerful imagery including a sketch of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid and His Highness’ hand salute flood across the screen in a bid to relay victory, triumph and love. In conjunction with global and collective images such as sketches of the earth and messages honouring the country’s health heroes, the video signifies the global fight against Covid-19 and the collective efforts required to overcome it.
Using the grandeur of landmarks such as the Burj Khalifa, Burj Al Arab and Dubai Frame, the video imparts messages that read ‘To Our People,’ and ‘To Our Heroes,’ in both Arabic and English. Followed by a synchronised display of vehicles coming together to say ‘Thank You,’ the video ends with members from various government agencies, including the Dubai Police, Dubai Civil Defense, Dubai Ambulance, Roads and Transport Authority, Dubai Municipality, Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Dubai Film and TV Commission and partners from the entertainment and hospitality industry. All of whom come together to champion the progress that has been made and the victory that is yet to come.
