Sheikh Hamdan Shares a Touching Picture of His Twins with Their Grandfather Sheikh Mohammed

HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai, has posted a heartwarming picture of his twin children with their grandfather HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai is seen cradling baby boy Rashid and baby girl Sheikha in his arms.

Sheikh Hamdan shared the heartwarming family moment on his Instagram and Twitter accounts, where he has a combined following of over 16 million people. He added the words “God protect them” to his tweet. On Instagram alone, the shot has earned more than 64,000 likes and more than 14,000 comments.

 

Following the birth of their twins last month, Sheikh Hamdan and his wife Sheikha Sheikha bint Saeed received letters of congratulations from all around the country as the new father made a grand announcement to his followers. The Dubai Crown Prince, who is well-known on social media, posted an image of a pair of small pink and blue feet to express his happy news.

In Arabic, Sheikha means “princess,” while Rashid means “rightly guided.” The girl shares her mother’s name, while the boy shares his with that of Sheikh Hamdan’s late grandfather, Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum.

In May 2019, Sheikh Hamdan and Sheikha Sheikha got married. During the ceremony dubbed “joy of the nation,” two of Sheikh Hamdan’s brothers, Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, and Sheikh Ahmad bin Mohammed, were also married.
