HH Sheikh Hamdan Shares Results from Dubai’s Covid-19 Public Satisfaction Survey

Following a briefing by the Dubai Government Excellence Programme on Sunday, HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, Crown Prince of Dubai took to Twitter to share the results of the city’s Public Satisfaction Survey. Intended to metricate the level of satisfaction afforded to residents on the basis of how Covid-19 was and is being managed by the Dubai government, the survey resulted in an overwhelmingly positive response, with almost nine in ten people expressing their happiness with the city’s approach.

Sharing the results in a series of tweets posted on July 27, the Crown Prince said, “ I saw the results of the Community Survey conducted by @DubaiExcellence. The overall rate of the effectiveness of measures taken by government entities in dealing with Covid-19 was 88%.” “Led by @HHShkMohd’s vision, Dubai and the UAE created a successful plan to overcome this challenge, containing the repercussions of the crisis to safeguard our society,” the thread continued. Ending with a commendation of the investments made by the government over the years, Sheikh Hamdan wrote, “I am proud of our teams who prioritized the safety of all Dubai residents. Investing in our national talents have paid off today; we have built a government mechanism that anticipates the challenges ahead.”

Among its findings, the survey found that 89% of Dubai residents were satisfied with changes made to government services to ensure access throughout the crisis. In addition, 87% expressed approval for the measures introduced to ensure economic sustainability and business continuity. Ninety-one percent found the nightly national disinfection drive effective, while 87% echoed the same sentiment for the travel bans. In total, a public satisfaction rating of 88% was received.
