This Strategy Launched By HH Sheikh Hamdan Aims to Make Dubai the Best City to Live in

This week, HH Sheikh Hamdan approved the Dubai Quality of Life Strategy 2033, which aims to make it the world’s best city to live in.

A new extensive program named the Dubai Quality of Life Strategy 2033 is set to improve the well-being of the residents considerably. Launched by HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, the strategy aims to make the emirate the world’s best city to live in for all segments of the community including nationals, residents and visitors.

The program was approved under the directives of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and will feature 200 projects, initiatives, and plans. It covers 10 key pillars that are essential to well-being: “Culture and entertainment, the natural environment, the urban environment, mobility, society and family, the economic environment, employment and work conditions, education, safety and security, and health.”

“The strategy encompasses ten key pillars, all dedicated to fostering the well-being of individuals, society, and the city,” stated HH Sheikh Hamdan. “Our objective is to establish Dubai as one of the world’s best cities in terms of well-being, offer every resident a healthy, active, and enjoyable lifestyle, build a society that takes pride in its identity and cultural diversity, and offer the highest quality of leisure and entertainment. Dubai’s name will become synonymous with fine living worldwide.”

Some of the projects in the plan include the development of well-being districts, the 20-minute city concept, a number of parks and beaches, and accessible sports and entertainment facilities. More than 115 km of pedestrian and cycling tracks will also be constructed, alongside planting of more than 3,000 trees.
