Selena Gomez and Hailey Bieber Are Putting an End to Fan Wars With New Photos Together

Hailey Bieber is married to Justin Bieber. Selena Gomez used to date Justin Bieber. Naturally, this makes these women mortal enemies, right? Wrong.

After years of feud rumors and fandom wars, Selena and Hailey have put an end to all the online hate by posing together at the Academy Museum Gala on October 15. The pair were photographed together at the Los Angeles event after arriving separately in equally stunning looks.

Selena wore a classic, tailored suit by Giorgio Armini with Cartier jewelry with her mid-length hair tucked around her ears. For her part, Hailey was dressed in a brown Saint Laurent strapless gown with a large abdominal cut-out and a simple gold choker necklace.

Though they did not share the spotlight on the white carpet, they posed for an iconic photo-op once inside the event. “Plot twist,” photographer Tyrell Hampton captioned one of the images, which can be seen here.

“Love watching the reverse of global warming and everybody’s skin clearing from this pic,” commented 13 Reasons Why star Tommy Dorfman. Another fan responded, “now can y’all finally leave these women and Justin alone lmfao 😭.”

In more pictures, which are circulating on Twitter, the pair can even be seen sharing an embrace. Meanwhile, “Selena” is trending as fans of both women process this moment. “Hailey Bieber and Selena Gomez are THE moment but you’re not ready for that conversation,” one fan tweeted.

While some fans still searched for hidden animosity, many called for an end to all the drama. “Can y’all finally leave Selena and Hailey in peace,” one user wrote. “Both were beautiful that evening and everyone should finally stop pushing them against each other. It’s annoying. Let these women live in peace and be beautiful.”

Recently, Hailey Bieber addressed rumors that she “stole” her husband from Selena Gomez on the Call Her Daddy podcast. “Um…this is so crazy. I’ve literally never talked about this, ever,” she began. “A lot of the hate and the perpetuation comes from, like, ‘Oh, you stole him!’ It’s about people knowing the truth. Because there’s a truth.”

“When him and I started hooking up, or anything of that sort, he was not in any relationship. It’s not my character to mess with someone’s relationship. I was raised better than that,” Hailey continued, per Teen Vogue. “I understand how it looks from the outside, but that was a situation where I know for a fact that it was the right thing for [Justin and Selena] to close that door, but of course, there’s a very long history there, and I respect that a lot. I don’t want to talk on either one of their behalves.”

Following the podcast, Selena called on her fans to be “kind” in a video about “vile and disgusting” hate comments online, though she didn’t mention Hailey’s interview directly. “If you support Rare, I cannot thank you enough but know that you are also representing what it means, and that is words matter. Truly matter.”

Hopefully, this will really be the end of all the fandom animosity. As one user tweeted after seeing the new photos, “I’m sorry but if you can’t tell Selena Gomez and Hailey Bieber genuinely have no problems with each other and you as fans are the issue then idk what to tell you. Please end the drama.”
