Architect Laura Gonzalez and land-scape architect Xavier de Chirac looked for nature to reign over Saint James, and they delivered just that. Upon entering, the reception desk sits under an impressive six-meter tree of life, bringing the outdoors in. “I wanted to recreate the atmosphere of classic gardens and immerse visitors in an abundance of scents, color, and soothing plant life,” says De Chirac. Saint James has 56 comfortable rooms, suites, and apartments, including two ground-floor suites with a terrace. The rooms radiate a special charm. “We have brought the building’s neoclassic architecture to the fore while adding a
gentle, feminine touch. The idea is to make Saint James a timeless Parisian classic that truly reflects French art de vivre,” says
Gonzalez. The lavish furnishings and the attention to detail like earthy, warm-toned print wallpaper reflect the hotel’s purpose
of creating a soft and relaxing atmosphere for those wishing to escape the lively city.
