In a bid to give back to the creative community, Rove Hotels are offering up the studio space at their Downtown Dubai location for free until August 31. To be used by podcasters, content creators, and small businesses alike, the initiative hopes to provide the city’s digital nomads with access to the right equipment. With its self-service studio, replete with user-friendly plug-and-play equipment, the offering is suitable for both budding and seasoned creators.
Acknowledging the difficulties that have been incurred by creatives and small business owners over the last few months, the hotel’s initiative aims to provide new ways for individuals to market their businesses. “At Rove we understand that the last few months have been tough,” the hotel said in a statement. “Considering the increasing popularity of podcasts as a promotional channel, we’ll be offering the initial studio rental completely free of cost to content creators, as well as, start-ups and entrepreneurs looking for new ways to market their businesses before 31st August 2020.”
Available daily between the hours of 8am and 8pm, the studio comprises a wide range of equipment and can accommodate up to four users at a time. In addition to using the studio as they please, podcasters will also gain access to a number of special inhouse food and beverage deals, including complimentary tea and coffee for the duration of their stay. Ensuring the highest standards of sanitization and cleanliness, the studio will be thoroughly sanitized before and after each use with podcasters expected to undergo a temperature check upon arrival. In addition to receiving in-room sanitizer, disposable headphone and microphone covers will also be in use, with the mic guard being sanitized after every use. Available for free until August 31, prospective users can continue to use the studio following this date at a special rate starting at AED 150 per hour.
