On Monday night, the fashion set gathered at Dubai’s Volante Tower to fete the new Roger Vivier boutique set to open its doors at the Dubai Mall’s hotly-anticipated extension. The storied accessories maison brought together a lineup of It girls and socialites, including Karen Wazen B, Anum Bashir, and Enjy Kiwan who mingled and enjoyed tunes by DJ Celine at the venue’s poolside terrace before ascending to the 30th floor penthouse to enjoy an intimate candlelit dinner, co-hosted by Vogue Arabia’s Editor-in-Chief Manuel Arnaut and Roger Vivier’s brand ambassador Inès de la Fressange.
The well-heeled guests were welcomed to their seats, which were set with personalized place cards created by a French calligrapher, before Arnaut gave a thoughtful speech. Addressing the guests, Fressange stated that Dubai is a “lucky charm for Roger Vivier”. Tables were decorated with arrangements of pink and white peonies, meanwhile the hearty menu featured lightly smoked Australian fillet carpaccio, fried seabass, braised baby leeks, fresh watermelon and basil sorbet. Not forgetting the out-of-this-world molten chocolate fondant.
