Leave it to Rihanna and A$AP Rocky to throw a rave-themed baby shower.
According to reports, the couple celebrated their future child by flying out family and friends from Barbados for a party of epic proportions on April 22. “Rihanna didn’t want a shower for just the ladies,” a source said, who also claimed the guest list was “very intimate.” “They’re in this together; it was always going to be a joint celebration.”
Of course, security at the Hollywood studio was tight. Platforms reported that guests, including celebrities, were barred from taking photos and videos… but if they had, we would have seen that the theme of the night was rave-inspired and that guests were instructed to come in their “best and brightest neon-colored outfits.”
One detail that may have been leaked, if Twitter is to be believed, is that each guest was treated to a T-shirt featuring childhood photos of Rihanna and Rocky, which read, “I Went to Rih & Rocky’s Rave Shower and All I Got Was This Amazing Shirt.”
Rihanna and A$AP Rocky have been presenting a united front throughout the Fenty Beauty mogul’s pregnancy, especially after disputed cheating rumors and Rocky’s recent arrest in connection with a November 2021 shooting. Just days after the rapper was released on bail for $550,000, the pair were photographed out on a date night on April 23. Far from hiding from the paps, Rihanna wore one of her famed maternity looks for the occasion, this time sporting pinstripe short shorts and a black bra underneath an open white button-down black jacket.
“It was a happy and relaxed group. Rihanna looked great. She sat next to A$AP and they were affectionate,” a source shared. “They dined for a couple of hours. The focus was very much on Rihanna and the baby.”
