These Are All The TV Dramas We Have Been Loving This Ramadan

Two weeks into the month of Ramadan, families are gathering to watch the latest gripping series. Here’s what we have been loving so far:

ZELZAL (EARTHQUAKE)

Starring Mohamed Ramadan, Hala Shiha, Majed AlMasri, and Nisrin Amin, Zelzal tells the story of a clash between families following an earthquake – and the love story in the middle.

KHAMSA WI NOS (FIVE AND A HALF)

Money, power, and love entwine in this drama starring Lebanese actor Nadine Nassib Njeim as a woman trying to tame a man chasing wealth, played by Syrian actor Qusay Kholi.

 AL AZRAA (THE VIRGIN)

This series explores the entangled stories of a group of women prisoners and the challenges they face. Directed by Mohammed Al Qaffas, it features a star-studded ensemble cast including Shojoon Al Hajiri, Maram Al Balushi, Mashary El Ballam, and Abdullah Al-Talihi.

HADOTIT MORRA (THE STORY OF MORRA)

A tragic drama revolving around Morra (played by Egyptian actor Ghada Abdelrazek), a woman who experiences a family trauma that will change her life forever.

AL HAYBA (THE HARVEST)

After a hiatus, Lebanese actor Cyrine Abdelnour makes a comeback in this third season of Al Hayba, playing a strong-willed woman who Sheikh El Jabal (played by Syrian actor Taim Hassan) falls in love with.

BUQA’T AL-DAW (SPOTLIGHT)

The comedy series – one of the most successful Syrian TV shows ever – returns with satirical sketches that touch upon politics and society. The cast of season 7 includes Ayman Rida, Nesreen Tafesh, and Fares al-Helou.
