HH Sheikh Mohammed’s Daughter’s Ramadan Donation Will Benefit People from Seven Arab Countries

With the Holy month of Ramadan approaching, the daughter of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, will make a donation that will benefit 245,710 people from seven countries.

Sheikha Latifa, who is also the wife of Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, will fund The Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) that is launching an iftar project in seven Arab and African countries. The project, which will begin when Ramadan starts, will benefit people in Yemen, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Egypt, Chad, and Mali.

Sheikha Latifa’s donation will also support ERC’s activities during the Year of Tolerance, and assist vulnerable people in countries witnessing humanitarian challenges. In a statement, Dr. Mohammed Ateeq Al Falahi, ERC Secretary-General, praised Sheikha Latifa’s donation and added that 90,000 people in Aden, Hadramaut and the Red Sea Coast are benefitting from the ERC’s activities in Yemen, along with 38,330 people in Sudan, 9,680 in Syria, 23,000 in Somalia, 57,500 in Egypt, 15,770 in Chad, and 11,250 in Mali.
