Rabih Kayrouz’s collaboration with Raynaud Limoges for Au Gant Rouge

Designer Rabih Kayrouz has designed a limited-edition tableware collection for Au Gant Rouge’s 150th anniversary, in collaboration with Raynaud Limoges porcelains, titled “Beirut ya Beirut.” Kayrouz tells Vogue.me of his exclusive collaboration, “We all love Beyrouth and we all want to say Beirut ya Beirut … What did you do to us?” The collection marks the festivities that celebrate the special birthday of Au Gant Rouge.

In 1867, at Beirut’s Souk El Tawileh, Au Gant Rouge came into being. Since then it has expanded to the current Downtown location and a spot in Ashrafieh. Bertrand Raynaud, president of Raynaud Limoges, will be cutting the ribbon at the event, which will also see an exciting collection displayed in the Au Gant Rouge windows.

Interior architect Gregory Gatserelia conceived the “Vitrine Concept” that will be unveiled tonight to celebrate Au Gant Rouge’s 150th year. The project involved Gatserelia recruiting more than 38 Lebanese artists to create porcelain plates illustrating Lebanese icons from the last 150 years. Aptly so, to say happy birthday to the maison‘s on-going prestige.
