It’s official. Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas are engaged. The happy couple finally confirmed the news with matching Instagram posts, uploaded on Saturday. The Bollywood beauty posted a picture of the two embracing, her diamond engagement ring on full display, alongside the caption “Taken.. With all my heart and soul..” and a Mumbai geo-tag. Jonas would go on to share the same image of him and his new fiancée on his Instagram page, geotagging the location in Hindi. “Future Mrs. Jonas. My heart. My love” he captioned the photo.
Earlier this week, several news outlets, including E News! reported that the couple were having an engagement party in Chopra’s native India. A source told the website “It’s going to be the first time that their families intermingle and get to know each other. It’s a tradition for them to meet before the wedding and Priyanka’s family insisted on hosting the Jonas family in their country.”
The Quantico actress later shared a series of images from the engagement party on her Instagram page, revealing that the couple formalized their whirlwind romance of three months with a traditional Indian roka pre-wedding ceremony. The party was attended by the couple’s family, as well as Bollywood celebrities including Alia Bhatt and Salman Khan’s sister Arpita Khan Sharma. Jonas’s mother, Denise Jonas, also took to the social media platform to share her well-wishes and welcome Chopra to the family, writing “I have found the one whom my heart loves” Song of Solomon 3:4 Congratulations @nickjonas @priyankachopra on your engagement. Welcome to the family!”
The actor and the American singer were first linked around two months ago, and reportedly got engaged in London this July. The couple were first pictured together May 2017, when they attended the Met Gala together as friends, both wearing Ralph Lauren.
