The new website’s domain Sussex.com takes after the royal moniker of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, and features links to their nonprofit Archewell Foundation and for-profit Archewell Productions. “The Office of Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, is shaping the future through business and philanthropy,” reads the About section on the website. “This includes: the Archewell FoundationArchewell Productions, patronages, ventures, and organizations which receive the support of the couple, individually and/or together.” The home page showcases a picture of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle smiling as they applaud at the 2023 Invictus Games. It is the same portrait that was used for the couple’s 2023 Christmas card.

It is worth noting that when the couple stepped down as senior royals in 2020, they agreed not to use the word ‘royal’ in any of their future ventures due to prohibitions set by a UK government rule. Prior to this, they operated under the Sussex Royal brand, the website to which now features a pop-up linking to the new Sussex.com website. The couple’s Instagram account with the same handle was subsequently shut down, with the caption to the last post reading, “While you may not see us here, the work continues. Thank you to this community – for the support, the inspiration and the shared commitment to the good in the world. We look forward to reconnecting with you soon. You’ve been great!”

The new website also features lengthy bios on both, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. “Prince Harry, The Duke of Sussex is a humanitarian, military veteran, mental health advocate, and environmental campaigner. He has dedicated his adult life to advancing causes that he is passionate about and that advance permanent change for people and places,” reads the one on the Duke of Sussex. It also mentions that he is the New York Times Bestselling author of Spare, a memoir of his life told with compassion, vulnerability, and unflinching honesty.” The Duchess of Sussex’s bio reads, “Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex is a feminist and champion of human rights and gender equity. Her lifelong advocacy for women and girls remains a constant thread in her humanitarian and business ventures. She has been named one of the most influential women in the world in rankings including TIME Magazine’s Most Influential People, The Financial Times’ 25 Most Influential Women, Variety Power of Women, and British Vogue’s Vogue 25.” Both bios end with a sentence saying that the couple lives in California with their two children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
