Congratulations are in order for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, have welcomed their daughter, Lilibet “Lili” Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, to the world. Lili was born on Friday, June 4 in Santa Barbara, California, just in time for Father’s Day.
Lili is named after her great-grandmother, Her Majesty The Queen, whose family nickname is Lilibet. Her middle name, Diana, was chosen to honor her late grandmother, The Princess of Wales.

A representative for the couple confirmed the news in a statement. It read: “It is with great joy that Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, welcome their daughter, Lilibet ‘Lili’ Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, to the world. Lili was born on Friday, June 4 at 11:40 a.m. in the trusted care of the doctors and staff at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.”
The news of their second pregnancy was announced back in February through a portrait taken by photographer Misan Harriman. Later, during their tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey, the couple shared they were expecting a daughter.
Their two-year-old first child and baby Lili’s brother, Archie Mountbatten-Windsor, was born on May 6, 2019. The couple tied the knot on May 19, 2018.
“She is more than we could have ever imagined, and we remain grateful for the love and prayers we’ve felt from across the globe. Thank you for your continued kindness and support during this very special time for our family,” said the message of thanks from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
The Prince of Wales and Dutchess of Cornwall and the Duke and Dutchess of Cambridge tweeted their congratulations.
We are all delighted by the happy news of the arrival of baby Lili.
Congratulations to Harry, Meghan and Archie.
