Maria Bravo launched the Global Gift Gala Dubai, in association with the Global Gift Foundation, in 2013 with the laser-focused aim of elevating the well-being and lives of children and families. The non-profit organization has since flourished in doing just that. In its fifth year, the Dubai gala had ample leading lights on its VIP list. It was chaired by Bravo and honorary chair Alesha Dixon, who were supported by actors Adrien Brody and Vanessa Williams. The evening’s festivities were punctuated with live performances from “Despacito” star Luis Fonsi, the Emirates Symphonic Orchestra, and soprano Seia Lee, with culinary delights being served up by chef Mansour Memarian.

Cindy Chao presented the charity auction, with pieces going under the hammer including Chao’s own design Ruby Sunflowers earrings, an art work by Sacha Jafri, a personalized Gyunel Couture Experience, an original Salvador Dalí work entitled “Witches with Groom,” and a painting by Brody. Proceeds from the funds raised go to Global Gift Foundation projects in India, Europe, America, and Asia, alongside giving aid to victims of Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico, and Dubai Cares.

Before the gala dinner at the Palazzo Versace hotel, Bravo, Brody, and Williams took to the Siddharta Lounge in Grosvenor House, Dubai.
