Who Wore What: Peek Inside London’s Chicest Garden Party

Models, designers, singers, and aristocrats turned up in droves at last night’s Serpentine Summer Party — one of the biggest and most glittering events in London’s social calendar. Chanel played host (for the second consecutive year) to the celebrity-filled soirée, which unfolded at the Kensington Gardens. The star-studded roll call included former Vogue Arabia cover star Adwoa Aboah, Alexa Chung, Suki Waterhouse, Lara Stone, and singers Ellie Goulding and IAMDDB, all costumed in Chanel, naturally. While the luxury Parisian maison served as a fairy godmother for most celebrities in attendance, Ciara, who showed up to the iconic party for the first time, chose a sheer LBD by previous host Christopher Kane for the occasion.

Following a full day of celebrating at the Royal Ascot, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie also managed to turn it around and show up, trading in their fascinators for glamorous, garden-ready frocks. The Princesses were joined by fellow royals Lady Kitty Spencer, who looked every inch the garden princess in a flower-embellished Dolce & Gabbana gown, and Lady Amelia Windsor, who donned a Chanel minidress.

Guests enjoyed a delectable dinner of rare-roasted Hereford beef served with wilted greens, fermented chilli, artichoke, and crème fraiche before American composer Nile Rodgers took to the stage to perform, at which point party-goers took their cue to break it down until the wee hours of the morning.
