The world’s highest-paid model and the brand ambassador of French luxury brand Longchamp Kendall Jenner proved to be a fashion force at the Longchamp 70th anniversary celebrations in Paris. Entering the majestic Palais Garnier Opera House wearing a floor-length, semi-opaque, horse-embroidered gown with plunging V-neck, she commanded a magnetic force. Hundreds of guests gravitated towards her as she moved through the crowd surrounded by a dozen or so bodyguards.
Longchamp, first launched in 1948 by Jean Cassegrain, and a family-owned billion-dollar business today, is renowned for its elegant accessories that promote a French savoir-vivre. Inside the opera house, guests enjoyed exquisite French cuisine prepared at a multitude of chef stations while contemporary and classic dancers created various tableaux throughout the halls. For the soirée, creative director Sophie Delafontaine chose the theme of movement and dance. “For 70 years, the House of Longchamp has been in constant motion,” she stated. CEO Jean Cassegrain, flanked by his father, president Philippe Cassegrain, chimed in, “Our true luxury lies in our independence and authenticity.”
Guests from all over the world feted the brand, including actor Vincent Cassel and his wife, French model Tina Kunakey; director Guillaume Canet; reporter Laurence Ferrari, DJ Ariel Wizman; former Opera Garnier creative director Dimitri Chamblas who oversaw the evening’s choreographies; and dancer Blanca Li.
