As the SLS Dubai Hotel & Residences shimmered in gold butterflies, so did stars from around the world attending its official opening event. Lebanese singer Haifa Wehbe did not miss her moment in the spotlight and showed up in a zebra-print dress by the Lebanese designer Mikhail Chamoun.
With live motion art displays staged next to alluring décor, Wehbe’s head-turning look brought the fashion-forward event to life with a combination of leather, zebra print, and lace. The Lebanese fashion and beauty icon has been dressed several times by Chamoun, only to challenge her previous look of innocent pink and champion a thigh-high slit that showcased her Casadei black leather sandals.
Not only was the SLS signature rubber duck dressed to the nines in gold, but the Lebanese star also embraced white gold, emeralds, onyx, and diamonds in a Panthère de Cartier bangle, ring, necklace, and earring, and a yellow and white diamond ring by Graff. All to be balanced by a basic scrunch to the hair by the Lebanese hairstylist Mohamad Tabsh, and the gaze of a smokey eye and nude lip by makeup artist Nancy Selim.
SLS Dubai Hotel & Residences marked its official opening with an event of extravagance and glamour, which also happened to be the celebration of its six-month success since its soft opening in April. Attendees included Lojain Omran, Sara Sampaio, Salma Abu Deif, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Victoria Lopyreva in sartorial statements of their own, and celebrated to the beats of DJ Tala Samman. French singer and guitarist Kendji Girac also set the mood as a variety of art installations were showcased along with the gravity-defying contortionists, and gold living trees.
