Gigi and Bella Hadid Stun at This Star-Studded NYFW Gala

Gigi and Bella Hadid arrived arm-in-arm and fashionably late at the 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge for the Business of Fashion 500 event on Sunday evening. Before joining the other VIP guests for dinner, the inseparable sisters hit the red carpet together to pose for the camera. For the occasion, Gigi chose a floor-trailing, marigold-hue jumpsuit plucked hot off Brandon Maxwell‘s (who was also in attendance) Spring 2019 runway. She accessorized with a see-through (also Brandon Maxwell SS19) clutch bag and a cluster of delicate jewelry.

Meanwhile, her younger sister opted for a completely contrasting look in the form of white parachute pants with detachable straps and a matching, waist-enhancing bustier by Andreas Kronthaler for Vivienne Westwood. The 21-year-old chose a pair of white, fingerless gloves a la Michael Jackson to elevate the look. While the sisters donned completely clashing outfits, they did have matching footwear — both the Nike ambassador and Stuart Weitzman collaborator opted for leather pumps from Le Silla to heighten their ensembles.

The part-Palestinian sisters were two of the guests of honor at the event, which celebrated the 96 inductees to the BoF 500 list, a collection of influential figures from the fashion community. The sisters, who have been included on the list for several years now, joined newcomers including Ghizlan Guenez, the Algerian founder of The Modist, former Vogue Arabia cover star Paloma Elsesser, and model Adut Akech, who was born in the same Kenyan refugee camp as fellow guest of honor Halima Aden.

Other guests in attendance included Tiffany Haddish, who sat front row as both Hadid sisters walked the Prabal Gurung show on Sunday, wearing a black, plunging gown with a high slit, and newly-minted Victoria’s Secret Angel Winnie Harlow, who turned heads in head-to-toe Balmain.
