Paris Hilton has shared the first photos of her son, Phoenix Barron Hilton Reum, who was born via surrogacy earlier this year in January.
Hilton took to social media on Monday to post a heartwarming photoshoot captioned, “My whole heart.” Her love for the baby boy she shares with her husband Carter Reum is almost palpable through the photos as she holds him close to her chest or gazes into his face lovingly. This celebration of her newly attained motherhood was also made apparent by the hashtag “MommyMondays.”
Previously, when the heiress had revealed the birth of her son fans were only given a glimpse of the baby – a small hand gripping Hilton’s perfectly manicured thumb. Her post was accompanied by the words, “You are already loved beyond words.”
Having children has always been on the agenda for Hilton and Reum who started in-vitro fertilization before their engagement on February 13, 2021. In a joint interview with People following their engagement, the couple revealed that they couldn’t wait to start a family. “It’s something we’ve talked about a lot ever since we’ve been together,” said Hilton.
When the pair got married in November 2021 – the ceremony took place at a lavish affair in Bel Air – and Hilton was quick to share photos on Instagram. She added a loving note for her husband including the following statement, “You’re my best friend, my teacher, my lover, my confidant, and the father of our future children.”
In a recent episode of her podcast, This is Paris, she shared her hopes for her son while talking about the process and meaning behind his name. “This is a name that is so special to me. I’ve been planning my children’s names for years and years,” she said and revealed that she has thought of the name ‘Phoenix’ almost a decade ago. Not only did Hilton want to establish a theme of cities similar to her own name but she also wanted something meaningful and there was nothing more perfect than Phoenix, a symbol for “hope, rebirth and transformation”.
She added, “I want my son to grow up knowing that disaster and triumph go around and come around throughout our lives, and that this should give us great hope for the future.”
