Paris Hilton has opened up about a “really important” hope she has for her children.
This week, Paris Hilton attended Propper Daley’s fourth ‘A Day of Unreasonable Conversation’ summit in LA, where she was joined by US Surgeon General Dr Vivek Murthy on a panel titled ‘To Suffer Alone’. The discussion saw the mother-of-two share a “really important” wish for her children Phoenix and London, which involves growing up in an environment that is kind, and living in “a world outside of social media.”
“I just want my children just to feel just so loved and seen and want to be that next generation of someone that brings positivity to the world and just to have big hearts and big loving,” the 43-year-old DJ and businesswoman shared. “That’s something that’s really important to me.” Hilton went on to comment on how technology is currently affecting the way kids are growing up, and shared that she hopes her son and daughter will not be consumed by social media as much as her. “And also to live a world outside of social media and being on their phone all the time. So I feel that’s really taken a lot from children. Kids are not going outside anymore and playing as much because everyone’s just so busy on their phones,” she said. “So hopefully my kids won’t be as addicted to social media as I am.”

Hilton and her husband Carter Reum welcomed their 14-month-old son Phoenix Barron Hilton Reum in 2023, and their four-month-old daughter London Marilyn Hilton Reum via surrogacy later that year. This is not the first time Hilton has publicly shared her protective side of motherhood since announcing the birth of her children. In an interview with Romper, Hilton revealed why she kept her family planning under wraps, and did not disclose them even to her own relatives. “My life has been so public, so out there. I didn’t want my son coming into this world with any negative energy,” Hilton said. “I’m really happy I did it that way, just for Carter and I to have that journey together without the outside world chirping in.”
