In 2019, it is estimated that there will be around 2.77 billion social network users around the globe, up from 2.46 billion in 2017. There’s no denying social network penetration worldwide is ever-increasing. Everyone is chasing likes, but did you know you can turn those likes into dollars? You can find out how from some of the region’s most renowned Instagram stars during the Power of Social Media panel, held at The Dubai Mall as part of Vogue Loves Fashion Avenue, a 10-day celebration of the lifestyle destination’s 10th birthday.

On November 20 at 7pm, Vogue Arabia’s managing editor, Alexandria Gouveia, will host an in-depth discussion with three of the Middle East’s social media trailblazers including Dana Hourani (@dana.hourani), Hala Abdallah (@thehala), and Dima Al Sheikhly (@dimasheikhly). The trio will join Gouveia in dissecting the broad topic, covering everything such as how to make it in the industry, how to attract and grow followers, and how to turn your digital presence into a profitable project.

Essentially, if there’s anything you have ever wanted to know about becoming a social media star, if you simply wish to increase your own number of followers, or if you run a social media account for a client or business, this event is not to be missed.

Panel: The Power of Social Media will begin at 7pm on Tuesday, November 20, at the Vogue Loves Fashion Avenue main stage at The Dubai Mall’s Fashion Avenue.
