As Oprah returns to Arabia, the American talk show host was once again struck by the tempting allure of the region. Sharing a charming video detailing her time in Marrakesh she thanked Morocco for a “soul-filling time.”

From ancient palaces and mosques to the winding alleys of traditional souks, Marrakesh is undoubtedly the experience of a lifetime. Rich in history and culture, the city is a vibrant tapestry of colors, scents, and sounds, which is just what Opera seems to have enjoyed according to the caption of her post. “I spent two beautiful days in Marrakesh, Morocco, which wasn’t enough time to experience so much magnificent culture.”

A highlight of the trip to this North African gem was a visit to the Souk Semmarine. Located near Jemaa al-Fna—the iconic square that has served as the central hub of Marrakesh since the city’s foundation—the souk is a bustling marketplace overflowing with jewelry, textiles, traditional Moroccan crafts, and so much more. Another memorable moment was certainly Oprah exclaiming, “This is more olives than I’ve seen in my life!” as she explored the olive market. Then there was the experience of learning more about Moroccos’s vibrant rug marking industry or eating local delicacies right before dancing the night away with locals in a traditional tent.

This is not the first time that the media mogul has visited Arabia. Earlier this year in March, she visited the ancient city of Petra in Jordan with her longtime friend Gayle King. Her Instagram post at the time revealed her fascination with the history of the “Rose City” and an insistence that the country must be on everyone’s “must-see list”. Whether we will see the charming host visit the Middle East again is something only time will tell but we can certainly deduce that she seems to love her trips to the region.
