Oetker Collection has announced two new Masterpiece Hotels opening this spring: The Woodward and Hotel La Palma. In Capri, Hotel La Palma will be the first Masterpiece Hotel on the Italian island since being transformed by Oetker Collection and owners, the Reuben brothers. Built in 1822, it is Capri’s first and oldest hotel and will welcome visitors to a renewed experience steeped in Italian history when it opens in April.
A neighbor to Capri’s renowned pizza restaurant, Piazetta, Hotel La Palma provides the perfect Mediterranean retreat with its 50 rooms including 18 suites, each with its balcony or terrace overlooking a picturesque view of Capri. The hotel will also provide a quintessentially Italian gastronomical experience with Gennaro’s restaurant bar and terrace helmed by popular chef Gerrano Esposito who is known to have run his own two-Michelin starred restaurant for 23 years.
The Oetker Collection’s second new addition to its portfolio, The Woodward is located in Geneva’s heart, and sits directly on Lake Geneva’s shores, offering panoramic views of Mont Blanc. Initially built in 1901 by French architect Francois Durel, The Woodward is currently being revamped by world-renowned architect Pierre-Yves-Rochon. The hotel welcomes the visitor to a world of historical architectural elements met with contemporary interiors. Out of its 26 suites, each one is curated to provide the guests with a different experience, possessing their character and individual design details. The hotel also provides world-class dining experiences with two Michellin star restaurants; L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon and Le Jardinier. To complete the ultimate hotel getaway experience, The Woodward is home to a spa by Maison Guerlain with six wellness suites and a swimming pool which is sure to be a serene getaway with spectacular lake and mountain views.
