There’s a lot to be excited for this May on Netflix, starting with the long-awaited new season of Stranger Things, and films such as Along for the Ride telling the story of two insomniacs on night adventures, and the comedy titled Senior Year starring Rebel Wilson.

Summertime, Season 3, May 4
Another summer has finally arrived on the Romagna Riviera. Summer seems ready to live the new season with the thoughtlessness she has never had, Dario receives an offer he can’t refuse, Sofia returns with the fear of now being a stranger to her friends, and Ale is torn by deep feelings of guilt.
Clark, Limited Series, May 5
Based on a true story about Clark Olofsson, this limited series is a fictional spin on the man behind the expression “The Stockholm syndrome”. This show focuses on his life journey and how he managed to fool all of Sweden into falling in love with him, despite several counts of drug trafficking, attempted murder, assault, theft and dozens of bank robberies.
The Sound of Magic, Season 1, May 6
This one is a touching drama about Yoon Ah-yi, a girl who had to grow up too fast, and Rieul, a mysterious magician who, although grown-up, wants to remain a kid. Rieul lives in an abandoned theme park and helps Yoon Ah-Yi with her teenage troubles.
Along for the Ride, May 6
It’s Auden’s last summer before college and she’s spending it in Colby Beach. Everything changes when she meets Eli, a fellow insomniac whom she spends nightly adventures with. Together, they live out their childhood dreams and confront the status of their lives. The film is based on Sarah Dessen’s novel of the same title.
Savage Beauty, Season 1, May 12
Fifteen years ago, Don and Grace Bhengu tested a toxic product on a group of children living on the streets. Now, one of the two survivors, Zinhle Manzini, returns to seek revenge. While on the road to revenge, Zinhle’s efforts hurt innocent people, leaving her to question whether she is looking towards justice for what is right, or pure, cold revenge.
The Lincoln Lawyer, Season 1, May 13
Based on the series of novels by Michael Connelly, the series’ first season is based on the second book in The Lincoln Lawyer series, The Brass Verdict. Lawyer Mickey Haller runs practice out of the back of his Lincoln, taking on cases big and small across Los Angeles.
Senior Year, May 13
Before her prom, a high school cheerleader falls into a coma. She then awakens 20 years later with the goal of reclaiming her rightful position as prom queen at her high school.
Bling Empire, Season 2, May 13
This season, a romance between Kevin and Kim transpires, Cherie and Jessey’s relationship is put into question, and Kane and Kevin’s friendship is tested. Meanwhile, Beverly Hills rival queens Christine and Anna put a new twist on the art of social warfare.
A Perfect Pairing, May 19
When Lola (Victoria Justice), a hard-driving LA sales exec, quits her job in hopes of starting her own company, she eagerly books herself a plane ticket to rural Australia to chase her first potential client, Vaughn Family Wines. Unfortunately for Lola, the Vaughn Family is not interested in doing business with a fledgling company. Eager to prove herself, Lola volunteers to fill a vacant position on the Vaughn sheep farm as a farmhand.
Cyber Hell, May 18
In this feature-length documentary, director Choi Jin-seong tells the story of two female college students, a group of journalists, and the cybercrime police officers who chased down the “Nth Room”, an online criminal network for sexual exploitation. Based on the true story of one of the most thrilling and devastating digital crimes, the documentary pays homage to the victims who spoke out against the offenders.
Somebody Feed Phil, May 25
The creator of the known sitcom Everybody Loves Raymond, Phil Rodenthal, travels across the globe and indulges in local cuisine and culture. Phil will travel to new destinations including Oaxaca, Maine, Helsinki, Portland and Madrid this season.
Stranger Things, Season 4, May 27
It’s been six months since the Battle of Starcourt, which brought terror and destruction to Hawkins. Struggling with the aftermath, the group of friends is separated for the first time – all while navigating the whole other horror that is high school. A new and horrifying supernatural threat surfaces and breeds a mystery that, if solved, might finally put an end to the horrors of the Upside Down.
