Supermodel Naomi Campbell just opened up about having both her children through surrogacy for the first time ever.

In a recent interview, British supermodel Naomi Campbell opened up about her experience with surrogacy. By simply saying “I did,” the 54-year-old confirmed for the first time ever that both her two-year-old daughter and her son, who is almost a year old, were born through surrogacy.

Campbell divulged the fear she faces for the future, and said, “My babies are everything to me. It’s made me fear for the future.” She added, “I hope for a better world for my children. They are 110 percent my priority. I have to be there for them on their first day at school.” Sharing details about her relationship status and her love for motherhood, she alluded she was happy being a single mother, and expressed worry for young girls who say that they don’t want to have children due to the cost of living or other factors. “I have said, ‘You will change your mind. You will want to be a mum.’ I understand economically it is tough. But my mum had nothing and she made it work. It’s worth it. It is so amazing,” Campbell said.
Campbell has previously avoided commenting on this matter, never publicly revealed the names of her kids, and protects their identities by avoiding posting pictures of them on social media—much like many celebrities safeguarding their children’s privacy currently. The only other time the British model discussed her daughter was with British Vogue in 2022 where she stated, “She wasn’t adopted – she’s my child,” without elaborating further. She added that this was a surprise to a lot of her acquaintances too, saying, “I can count on one hand the number of people who knew that I was having her,” and shared that she would reveal more details in her book, which is yet to be released.
