Nancy Ajram Is Taking The Stage in Saudi Arabia For The First Time at This Event

Calling all Arab music fans – the talented force behind superhits like Ya Tabtab and Betfakkar fi Eih is going to be performing in Saudi Arabia for the very first time. Nancy Ajram will be taking the stage as part of Saudi Arabia’s 40-day entertainment extravaganza, the Jeddah Season. Part of this is Saudi Arabia’s first music festival, the “Festival of Sea and Culture.”

Naturally, this isn’t the first time the Lebanese songstress has been on stage in the region. She’s lined up performances in Morocco and even right next door in Abu Dhabi– right after a U.S. tour which saw her conquer North America. Now, she’ll be gracing the stage of the Jeddah Season, which began on June 8 and will run till July 18.

You’ll also get to listen to Emirati singer Ahlam, Saudi Arabia’s Mohammed Abdo, Egypt’s Amr Diab, Mohammed Hamaqi, Lebanon’s Nancy Ajram and Wael Jassar. For K-pop fans, festivalgoers can watch K-Pop’s Super Junior make their musical debut in the Kingdom.

The initiative is intended to boost tourism revenue in the Kingdom, and will also increase partnerships with local businesses and offer up to 20,000 jobs and volunteering opportunities to local youth. This is in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, which aims to establish it as a major economic force in the region and to reduce its dependence on oil.

As a further incentive, guests buying tickets to the Jeddah Season will be able to obtain an e-tourism visa within just three minutes of booking their tickets. Music isn’t the only thing you’ll get to enjoy at the Jeddah Season, though – other events lined up include street music performances and parades, award-winning international visual arts displays, spectacular flame mountains and light shows.

Michelin-starred restaurants, as well as local cuisine favorites, will be serving up delectable dishes until 2 a.m.., while art galleries will also be opening their doors to the festivities. The events will largely be spread out across King Abdullah Sports City, Jeddah’s historical area, the Al-Hamra Corniche and the Jeddah Waterfront.
