HONOR View 20 has been unveiled in the Middle East this month, and there’s much to be excited about: the sleek edge-to-edge display screen, four striking colorways, and an embossed teddy bear phone case co-designed by Moschino exclusively for the brand. But perhaps the most exciting of all is how it’s set to upgrade your selfie game. Retailing at AED 2,399, it’s Huawei’s most expensive smartphone to date, but for the ‘Gram, we think a lot of people may be sold. Here’s how the new HONOR View 20 will improve your photo-taking skills.
#1. A 48-megapixel camera
The new HONOR View 20 is the first smartphone to bag a 48mp rear camera. More megapixels mean greater detail representation and sharpness in images, rendering your Facetune app virtually redundant.
#2. A telescopic zoom
Featuring a ToF (Time of Flight) 3D camera, you can zoom closer than ever before without comprising on clarity and quality, which will prove useful for those OOTD snaps.
#3. AI-enabled technology
HONOR has added AI to its camera app, which helps it recognize what it is pointed towards, filter out surrounding noise, and alter the setting to suit the main subject. This results in photographs that are more detailed, clear, and high-resolution.
#4. Portrait mode
Selfie aficionados, take note. The phone’s front-facing 25mp camera has a futuristic hole-punch display – meaning the camera peers through a 4.5mm transparent hole in the screen – portrait lighting, and beauty effects such as artificial slimming.
