Located at Raffles The Palm, Matagi serves its guests an exquisite array of contemporary Japanese cuisine with an Italian twist for brunch. Headed by chef Mauro, the curated menu combines the traditional flavors, techniques, and ingredients of Japanese cuisine to create an appealing brunch with highlights such as the den miso black cod accompanied by tangy, pickled Italian giardiniera; tender A5 wagyu striploin sprinkled with maldon salt and served with a zesty lime ponzu and a seabass clay pot rice with a smooth herbed butter and crowned with crispy nori. The restaurant also comes with an entertaining kids club for children ages three to eight, allowing parents to relax and unwind. The brunch will be available every Saturday from 1pm to 4pm with a chauffeur service for parties of size two or more.

Basko

The Mediterranean venue, located on the ground floor of Opus, will be offering its guests a retro and vintage-style brunch during the weekend. With the summer weather blazing, this vibrant restaurant is the perfect place to visit to beat the heat. Featuring elegant interiors and a specially crafted grape and cocktail list, chef Youssef Akiki also delights his guests with a great brunch menu with dishes such as crispy tuna tartine, shrimp carpaccio, and creamy saffron cecina spaghetti among other delicious delicacies. The brunch will take place from 12pm to 4pm, with the upstairs speakeasy Suave opening for the final hour.

Clap, Dubai

The Red Sun by Clap is the ideal place to spend the mid-week in Dubai. Located in DIFC Gate Village, Red Sun hours offers its guests a sharing menu for two at AED 250 (AED 125 each), every Monday to Friday from 5pm to 7pm. Folks in the city can now relish evenings with a choice of zensai – Japanese aperitivo, while watching the bustling city painted in shades of golden and red during sunset hours. The restaurant also has an in-house DJ who will keep you entertained with upbeat music all night.

Iris, Dubai

Stationed at the lounge bar in Meydan, Iris Dubai now offers its guests ‘Taste of Iris’, an unlimited sushi menu that is available every Wednesday from 8pm onwards. The restaurant serves a fine dining experience while taking its guests on a gastronomical journey featuring some of the bar’s most sought-after Japanese dishes. For AED 190 per person, guests can indulge in an unlimited selection of salads, edamame, sashimi, nigiri, and Iris’ signature Uramaki rolls such as the ‘spicy tuna’ and Iris special’, continuous for two hours. Ossiano

Located in Atlantis, The Palm, Ossiano brings its visitors a dining experience 10 meters deep into one of the world’s largest aquariums. Orchestrated by celebrated chef Gregoire Berger, the restaurant offers a nine to 11-wave tasting menu which is led by Berger’s lifelong respect for seasonality, terroir, and sea foraging, with all ingredients sustainably sourced from the oceans or within 50km of coastline.

The menu, which can be availed  from March to Summer 2022 invites its guests to journey through Berger’s memories of travel and childhood, beginning with the oceans of Brittany and moving through several coastal cities worldwide. The sumptuous menu includes highlights such as  ‘Feeling the Warmth of the West Side’, featuring a delicate welk shell on a bed of sand, filled with umami dashi with sourdough and seaweed butter, as well as ‘Sitting on the Dock of the Bay’; Brittany brown crab, fragrant kari gosse and bouillabaisse essence. The intimate dining setting immerses its guests in a truly mesmerizing underwater experience and offers a visceral treat to the senses.
