Megan Thee Stallion And Beyoncé Drop Savage Remix — And Proceeds Go To Covid-19 Relief

Beyoncé recently teamed up with Megan Thee Stallion recently to drop a surprise remix of Stallion’s hit song Savage. Beyonce added four original verses to the already trending tune, which has climbed to No. 6 on Rolling Stone’s Top 100 Songs chart and inspired a viral dance on the video-sharing app TikTok, since its release on April 7 this year. In the new remix version of the song, Beyoncé uses her signature tongue-in-cheek style to convey a message of female empowerment through her rap. The four-minute remix features a rap verse and back-up vocals from Beyoncé that continue in the spirit of the original song. Earlier this month, the Grammy Award winner, through BeyGOOD, her charitable initiative, has partnered with Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey’s #Startsmall, donating $6 million to aid organisations that provide mental health services.

Since both musicians hail from Houston, Texas, all proceeds from this unexpected treat, will benefit the city’s Bread of Life’s Covid-19 relief efforts in their home town. Megan announced the release of the remix with an Instagram post featuring a Houston-themed animation.

Savage Remix is Beyoncé’s first new song since her Lion King companion album ‘The Gift’. For Megan, “Savage” follows a busy few years. This track was featured on her EP Suga, which came out in March.
