On January 31, Saudi Arabia is set to play host to the kingdom’s first-ever international golf tournament in Jeddah. And for the occasion of the four-day-long sports tournament, a drove of superstar singers will be descending upon the Saudi city to perform. The tournament, which is part of the European Tour, will feature exclusive concerts from a number of international artists, including American singing icon Mariah Carey.

The singer who gave us Heartbreaker, Obsessed, and We Belong Together, will be hitting the stage on January 31 at King Abdullah Economic City, along the Red Sea. It will be the five-time-Grammy-award-winning artist’s first performance in the Gulf country, though she has previously wowed audiences in the neighboring UAE. Carey is not the only performer set to take the stage during the course of the inaugural tournament. Other artists include DJ Tiesto, Balqees Fathi, and rapper Sean Paul.

The forthcoming concerts are the latest in a string of live performances by some of the top international artists in Saudi Arabia. In the past few months, several concerts have been held in the kingdom thanks to the loosening of restrictions on leisure activities and efforts to modernize society by the kingdom’s Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman. In December, Saudi Arabia saw some of the world’s biggest musical acts take to the stage of Ad Diriyah’s UNESCO Heritage site as part of the inaugural Saudi Ad Diriyah E-Prix. Artists who performed live at the Middle Eastern debut of the E-Prix included Enrique Iglesias, One Republic, Jason Derulo, the Black Eyed Peas, and David Guetta.

Concert tickets for Mariah Carey and the other performers are on sale at Virgin Megastores or online.
