Calling all Mariah Carey fans! The international superstar is all set to take the stage in Dubai this month, at a celebration to mark one year until Expo 2020. The We Belong Together hitmaker will be joined by Emirati singer Hussain Al Jassmi at the concert on Sunday, October 20 at 8:20 pm, when the UAE will be exactly 365 days away from the beginning of the Expo. This is not the first time Carey will be performing for her fans in the country. In February 2017, the singer headlined the Jazz Festival in Dubai.
The free concert for the One Year to Go celebrations will take place at the Burj Park, Downtown Dubai, where the crowd will groove to Carey’s powerhouse vocals with the stunning Burj Khalifa in the background. Besides music, the crowd will also witness a special LED show projected on the Burj Khalifa to celebrate the milestone, as well as a countdown with a fireworks display.
Also joining Carey and Al Jassmi on stage are homegrown favorites DJ Bliss, Abri and the Funk Radius and Khalifa.
Tickets to the concert are free of charge, but places need to be registered via platinumlist.net with tickets available from 3pm today, Monday October 7. Tickets guarantee entry before 7pm, but after 7pm admission will be subject to maximum site capacity. According to an update by The National, the concert is currently sold out, but more tickets could be made available at 3pm today, Monday, October 7, however, it is not clear if these tickets will also be free.
