Expanding beyond the realm of fashion is a familiar trend among fashion houses. However, Louis Vuitton has taken a groundbreaking step by entering a space previously unexplored by luxury brands: an airport lounge.

In May, above their store at Hamad International Airport in Doha, the French fashion house introduced the “Louis Vuitton Lounge by Yannick Alléno.” Led by the esteemed French chef holding three Michelin stars, this extraordinary venue caters to first or business-class guests traveling with Qatar Airways. The culinary offerings are nothing short of fantastical: breakfast and brunch feature delectable Parisian viennoiseries and smoked fish platters with caviar. Lunch offers delicacies such as tea sandwiches adorned with Vuitton’s iconic fleur monogram.

For dinner, travelers can indulge in langoustine carpaccio infused with geranium essence amongst other distinctive dishes. To satisfy caffeine cravings after a long flight, the lounge crafts cappuccinos with the iconic “LV” insignia featured in the foam. Alléno explains the concept, stating, “The menu’s greatest strength lies in its multicultural nature, appealing to both the French and locals, as well as visitors of all nationalities passing through.”

Known for his Michelin-starred restaurants, Alléno Paris at the Pavillon Ledoyen and Le 1947 at Cheval Blanc Courchevel, Alléno brings a contemporary touch to this extensive menu. Featuring local ingredients, French classics, and international flavors the culinary offerings ensure that every palate is satisfied. Diners can either opt for à la carte selections or experience a multi-course tasting menu keeping in line with Alléno’s vision to satisfy everyone.

The seating arrangements exude the quintessential Louis Vuitton sophistication, featuring exclusive designer pieces such as India Mahdavi’s low tables and Martin Eisler’s Costela armchairs. The space also showcases stunning Objets Nomades, including the Cosmic Table by Raw Edges while Studio Louis Vuitton’s vibrant twist glasses add a touch of visual allure.

The new lounge not only strengthens Louis Vuitton’s presence in Doha – they already have five stores in the region – but also provides an elevated experience for transit passengers. Surrounded by a serene and artfully designed ambiance that reflects the essence of travel, it offers a space for tranquility, nourishment, and rejuvenation. Alléno commends Louis Vuitton for their unwavering commitment to quality, noting their modern and meticulous sense of luxury that shines through every detail.

This innovative venture by Louis Vuitton breaks new ground, transforming the airport lounge experience into a realm of luxury and culinary excellence, setting a remarkable precedent for the industry.
