Congratulations are in order for Naomi Campbell! The supermodel, 50, announced today in an Instagram post that she has welcomed her first child. “A beautiful little blessing has chosen me to be her mother, So honoured to have this gentle soul in my life there are no words to describe the lifelong bond that I now share with you my angel,” read the caption. “There is no greater love.”

The sweet image Campbell shared was of her baby girl’s feet resting in her hand. Her friends and fellow fashion insiders shared their congratulations in the comments section. “Oh my God!!!!! Today is the day?? How absolutely incredible,” designer Marc Jacobs wrote. “How lucky she is and how lucky you are! What a wonderful Mother you will be. Blessings all around.” Model Adut Akech, one of Campbell’s many mentees in the modeling world, wrote, “OMG CONGRATULATIONS MAMA!!! I’m so happy for you!!!️️️️”
Campbell never publicly announced a pregnancy, so it’s possible she either adopted her child or used a surrogate. She had told the Evening Standard in 2017, “I think about having children all the time…. But now with the way science is, I think I can do it when I want.”
