Shortly after Nancy Ajram welcomed a baby girl named Lya into the world last week, the Lebanese singer unveiled a heart-warming tribute song dedicated to the newborn. The former Vogue Arabia cover star shared a teaser with her 19.1 million Instagram followers of the single, simply entitled after her daughter’s name, alongside the caption “My gift to my precious Lya.”
Lya is Ajram’s third child with her husband, celebrity dentist Fadi Al-Hashem. The couple, who wed in 2008, welcomed Mila in 2009, and Ella in 2011. The badna nwalee el jaw singer has previously released songs dedicated to her daughters around the times of their birth; Ya Rabi Tekbar Mila, and Hadri Laabek.
However, she’s not the only Arab star to dedicate a sweet song to her children. Balqees Fathi, who gave birth to her first child with her husband Sultan Bin Abdullatif last year, released a heart-warming tribute to her newborn child entitled Ahlan Ya Mama.
Ajram announced the newest addition to her family via Instagram. On Sunday, she posted a black and white picture of baby’s feet, alongside a sweet message that read “Another gift from God and a new ray of light has entered our home! My beautiful Lya I can’t wait for us to walk together your journey and promise to be there for you at all time. You were anticipated, loved, cherished, and wanted. Now that I’m holding you in my arms those feelings have multiplied tenfold. Words cannot describe how much we love our precious Lya.”
