Pippa Middleton has welcomed her first child, a baby boy, with husband James Matthews. She was seen arriving at the Lindo Wing of St. Mary’s Hospital on Monday, just a couple of days after attending Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank’s Windsor Castle wedding and the same day the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced they were expecting.

“Everyone is delighted and mother and baby are doing well,” a spokeswoman for the couple told the BBC. Meanwhile, Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge revealed they were “thrilled” for the family, according to a Kensington Palace spokesman.

Middleton first confirmed her pregnancy back in June, in a column for Waitrose’s magazine. Since then, she’s been chronicling her pregnancy workout routine for the outlet, which included tennis, swimming, and barre class. “As the pregnancy months roll on, keeping active—even for a sport fanatic like me—is getting increasingly challenging,” she wrote in her September column,“but I’m determined to keep agile in preparation for labour, delivery, and post-natal recovery.”

The couple’s first child comes months after Middleton’s sister, the Duchess of Cambridge, gave birth to Prince Louis. With Prince Harry and Meghan’s first child on the way as well, it looks like there will be many royal playdates on the horizon.
