Lewis Capaldi Will Soon Take the Stage for His First-Ever Concert in the UAE

Scottish singer-songwriter Lewis Capaldi recently took to Instagram to announce his first-ever show in the UAE. The artist who is loved for his soulful vocals, social media presence and humor will be performing at the Al Majaz Amphitheatre in Sharjah on January 17 next year. The tickets for the event are already on sale

“Buzzing to announce my first ever show in UAE. Can’t wait to get over.” said the singer on his Instagram page. 

The number one US Billboard Hot 100 artist began releasing music two years ago and has reportedly been committed to a career in music since he was a teenager. Capaldi released his first track Bruises in March 2017, earning a lot of appreciation from his fans with over 28 million views making him the fastest ever unsigned artist to reach 25 million plays on Spotify. Lewis was then named the ‘Artist to watch 2018’ by Vevo and was longlisted for BBC Music’s Sound of 2018.

He has supported artists like Rag’n’Bone Man, Milky Chance, Niall Horan, Bastille, Kodaline and Sam Smith on their respective tours. Not only that, but Capaldi was a part of many famous music festival lineups like Lollapalooza, Firefly, Reading and Leeds Festival, and Mountain Jam amongst others. The Someone You Loved hitmaker has been on four tours, and has sold more than 300,000 headline tickets. In 2019, he was also nominated for the Brit Critics’ Choice Award.

Lewis’ most celebrated single Someone You Loved spent seven weeks at number one on the UK Singles Chart, trailed by an entire album Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent in May 2019. The trending artist made history this year by becoming the first-ever artist to announce and sell out an arena tour before the release of a debut album.
