Three Years After the Beirut Blast, Lebanese Stars and Designers Share Tributes for Their Country and People

On August 4, 2020, in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic an explosion ripped through Beirut, killing 218 people and injuring 7,000 more. The disaster is considered one of the largest explosions in human history and was the direct result of careless governance instead of war or terrorism.

Three years later, it is apparent that Beirut will never be the same. Even as physical scars start to fade, the tragedy remains etched in the mind of every Lebanese national, no matter where they are in the world and regardless of where they were that day. As the entire nation remembers everything that was lost to the Beirut blast and all that they are still struggling to recover, celebrities and designers are amongst them. This remembrance comes from a heavy heart, but also a conviction that Lebanon will remain resilient, as it has always been.

Below, read what the stars of Lebanon have to say today.
