The most liked Instagram post officially belongs to Kylie Jenner now. Yesterday, the 20-year-old took to Instagram to reveal her five-day-old newborn daughter’s name with rapper Travis Scott, along with a sweet photo of the baby clutching onto her thumb. Jenner captioned it simply “Stormi Webster,” with an image of an angel emoji. As of now, the image has garnered over 12 million likes, making it the most liked picture on Instagram, dethroning Beyoncé, who’s pregnancy announcement was the most liked Instagram post of 2017 with 11.2 million likes. Prior to the beauty mogul’s name reveal, the top ten most liked posts on Instagram belonged to just three people: Beyoncé, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Selena Gomez.
The image is just one of a series of posts from Jenner, who welcomed her first child on February 1st. On Wednesday, the youngest Kardashian-Jenner sent the internet into a frenzy when she confirmed her pregnancy with a heartfelt message, explaining why she deliberately kept it under wraps. “I’m sorry for keeping you in the dark through all the assumptions. I understand you’re used to me bringing you along on all my journeys. My pregnancy was one I chose not to do in front of the world,” she wrote. The post was accompanied by a teaser clip to an 11-minute video posted on YouTube, titled ‘To Our Daughter’, which chronicled Jenner’s pregnancy.
