The majority of Jenner’s fortune this year comes from selling a 51% stake in her makeup firm, Kylie Cosmetics to global cosmetic group Coty Inc., in January, in what has been described as, “one of the biggest celebrity cashouts of all time.”

However, Jenner was the only female to be named in the top ten of Forbes’ list. The beauty mogul’s brother-in-law, Kanye West, came second on Forbes’ highest-paid celebrity list, with a major portion of his earnings coming from his Yeezy sneakers deal with Adidas.

Following in the top ten were several sports stars including footballers Christiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, and Neymar, as well as tennis ace Roger Federer and basketballer LeBron James. American actor and filmmaker Tyler Perry, radio star Howard Stern, and actor Dwayne Johnson were also featured in the top ten names on the list.

Ariana Grande, Kim Kardashian West, Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Oprah Winfrey, and Jennifer Lopez were some of the female celebrities named on the Forbes list.

The total list showed that the world’s highest-paid celebrities earned a staggering combined amount of $6.1 billion before taxes and fees, however, this was a $200 million drop from 2019, due to the huge impacts from the global pandemic. This year marked the first drop in combined celebrity earnings since 2016.
