Kim Kardashian Opens Up About Kanye West's Covid-19 Battle
Entrepreneur and reality tv star Kim Kardashian West has opened up about the “scary” experience she and her family had with Covid-19. Her husband, rapper and designer Kanye West, was diagnosed with coronavirus in mid-March before anyone really knew what was to come. For Kardashian West, the experience of caring for her husband was not only daunting but also something she wasn’t prepared for.

“Kanye had it way at the beginning, when nobody really knew what was going on,” she explains, describing the experience as “so scary and unknown. I had my four babies and no one else in the house to help.” Earlier this year, Kanye West opened up about his diagnosis in an interview with Forbes. “Chills, shaking in the bed, taking hot showers, looking at videos telling me what I’m supposed to do to get over it,” said the rapper, recalling his experience. “I remember someone had told me Drake had the coronavirus and my response was Drake can’t be sicker than me!” Drake had later tested negative.

According to Kardashian West, the singer was in the grips of the illness around the same time as Tom Hanks and his wife, Rita Wilson, announced they were diagnosed with coronavirus and were quarantining in Queensland, Australia. The global pandemic has now taken more than 1 million lives worldwide. Kardashian West, further explained of her personal ordeal, “I had to go and change his sheets and help him get out of bed when he wasn’t feeling good. It was a challenge because it was so unknown. Changing his sheets with gloves and a face shield was really a scary time.” The couple have four children together: daughters North, seven, and Chicago, two, and sons Saint, four and Psalm, 16 months.
