Now being called the world’s most ultra-luxury resort, Atlantis The Royal opened its doors officially this weekend with an unforgettable weekend full of celebrations, including a once-in-a-lifetime performance by Beyoncé, a series of lavish meals, and the launch of the latest line from Adidas x Ivy Park.
Visited by over a thousand celebrities and special guests this weekend—including Kendall Jenner, Lojain Omran, Huda and Mona Kattan, Rebel Wilson, and singers Chloe x Halle—Atlantis The Royal embodies luxurious living like no other hotel. The Grand Reveal Weekend began with once-in-a-lifetime epicurean dining adventure to toast the opening of Atlantis The Royal’s eight brand-new celebrity chef restaurants, which featured a host of live cooking stations serving up a treasure trove of culinary masterpieces from around the world. On the ‘Feast of Dreams’ menu were delectable creations including blue lobster from Peruvian restaurant La Mar, Wagyu pizza, a selection of fresh sushi from The Seven Seas, and much more.
Soon after, it was time for guests to be dazzled by Beyoncé’s much-awaited performance—her first in the past four years. The superstar’s exclusive one hour performance included some of her greatest hits like “Halo” and “Crazy in Love”, and also brought together musical heavyweights like Firdaus, and a 48-person all-female orchestra mentored by Academy Award-winning composer A.R. Rahman. Lebanese dance group Mayyas, who won Season 17 of America’s Got Talent, also joined Beyoncé on stage for a hypnotizing stage performance choreographed by Emmy-nominated Fatima Robinson.
Paying homage to the region, Queen Bey appeared on stage in not one, but regal ensembles by Arab designers, namely Atelier Zuhra and Nicolas Jebran. Closing the special evening was a spectacular display of fireworks that lit up the Dubai sky, with none other than Swedish House Mafia taking the stage and performing global hits like “One” and “Don’t You Worry Child.”
